Privacy
This English version is provided for convenience. The German version is legally binding.
1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Darbots UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Rollbergstraße 28 A, 12053 Berlin, Germany
Represented by: Dr. Hadi Yazdi
Email: info@darbots.com
2. General information
We process personal data only as far as necessary to provide a working website and our content and services. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual measures), Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg ("AWS"). The data is stored in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (region eu-central-1). We have concluded a data processing agreement with AWS under Art. 28 GDPR.
A transfer to the USA cannot be completely ruled out. AWS is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses also apply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Server log files
When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes information that your browser sends: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system.
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data sources and is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose.
5. Cookies, analytics and fonts
This website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking tools.
The fonts used are loaded from our own server. No connection is made to third-party servers such as Google.
6. Contact by email
If you contact us by email or use the contact form, your email program opens with a pre-filled message. Nothing is sent until you send that email. We process the information you provide (for example name, email address, organisation and message) to handle your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Links to other websites
Our website contains links to external services, for example LinkedIn, ResearchGate and the Darbots web app (app.darbots.com). Data is only transferred to these providers when you follow such a link. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
To exercise your rights, simply email info@darbots.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
9. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
